The Gorge is a progressive metal band from St. Louis, MO. The Gorge manifests as a ferocious quintet that is not satisfied with staying the course. They seek to erode the notions of what it is to be a heavy band. By combining the aggressiveness of metal and the raw energy of hardcore, The Gorge forges a sound that teems with intricacy but still retains the honored tradition of the well-written song. The Gorge draws from a wide range of influences, but most notably the likes of Meshuggah, Botch, Refused, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, Tool, and At The Drive-In.
